Welcome to Pencils n' Pens! We are glad that you have decided to stop by or join! If you have any questions, feel free to drop a message in our HELP BOARD. Wondering what the basic rules are for the site? Good question! Below is an introduction of what we expect from every member that hops on board. If you find someone breaking any rules or guidelines, please direct the thread to Staff in a PM and they will make sure to look into it.
Pencil n' Pens is solely a 13 and older thread forum. When making an account, we ask that you stick to one account per member. We ask you do not lie about your age — If it comes to light that you are, indeed underage, your account will be banned and deleted. All we ask is that you wait to make an account until you’re thirteen [or older] and age appropriate!
Age and maturity is a very huge thing here. Common sense is another — We do NOT tolerate any cyber bullying, flaming, trolling, ect. If you feel like you are being bullied, we encourage that you go to a Staff in a PM to look into the issue.
If nothing is going against the rules of the site and the situation at had is a simple matter of disagreement or anything else within the relm, we as that the members involved talk through a PM about the issue. NO Chatbox or open threads. Any drama, comments or any mild disagreements set in a public manner will be deleted.
Also, as Staff, we are here to instill rules, not play referee in an argument that is something between two members or more. We will not get involved nor will be solve your issues for you! If the situation escalates to the point of site rules being broken, then may a member of the party present the current issue at hand with proof the the personal conversation. Keep in mind, we are STAFF, not personal problem solvers. The situation must be on site grounds [VIA a PM.]
We will not accept any situations/conversations but not limited to and on the following:[Skype, YIM, Facebook Chats, text messages and any sort of social media outside of Pencils n' Pens.]We encourage you to be mindful of where the situation takes place.
Another huge thing is stealing. We do not allow any stolen coding, graphics, artwork or fan fiction to be on Pencil & Pens. If we suspect that a piece is stolen, we will solely look into the issue. If this is the case, the pieces will be removed and your account banned. The reverse works the same way. If a piece has been suspected of being stolen from Pencil & Pens, we will look into the matter and if this is the case, you will be banned. If you suspect your piece has been stolen, we encourage you to PM Staff.
REQUESTS/COMMISSIONS: [Coming Soon!]
For requests, we allow all kinds of them but the general rule on the board is that you cannot bump your topic more than once every three days. we realize that sometimes topics get pushed back a page or two sometimes with all of the threads being started, but it can get chaotic with everyone bumping more than once every three days.
Once again, if we find you breaking this rule, we may freeze your request or PM you about it to remind you. a lot of our resource makers have galleries where they accept requests; however, if an artist has listed their gallery as no longer or not currently taking requests, you are not permitted to send them a PM asking them to fill a request.
If the artist does NOT have a gallery though, you are welcome to inquire about requests via PM. we absolutely do not allow pictures of children that are under the age of 13 to be used on the site or requested, whether it is a graphics request or a character request.
SITE RATING:
Includes mature artwork, stories, and role-play may include occasional scenes of a lightly sexual or violent nature. There might be mention of drug use or abuse and other mature themes that could be inappropriate for younger audiences. Characters use more mature language and swear. Sexual scenes are described with some details. Stories may also contain some graphic descriptions of violence and injury and reveal darker and more mature motives behind characters' actions than is appropriate for younger readers. Anything sexually explicit or offensive within ANY thread, comment, post or chat, by right, the staff may edit or delete if needed. In some serious cases, banning may result. Swearing to a minimum please. This includes the Chat box, any threads, writings, general chatter, role-play and artwork. PG-13

POSTING ARTWORK/FICTION:
Artwork: Here, we kindly ask you, as an artist, to refrain from posing Works in Progress. Simply because it can make things a little more confusing for posting purposes. If you finish a piece of artwork, and wish to place all the works in progress in one, you may. This is for commenting/posting pursues.
Writing: Writing is a little bit easier to post up works in progress. We just ask you keep it to one thread, treating it the title of the thread with the title of the fiction. If you don't wish to do this, we then suggest not posting any sort of product until you're ready for it to be read.
If your writings is chapter base, we encourage you to condense to one thread. [Edit the thread and add what is needed.] This is for commenting/posting pursues.
